QLM has been recognised as Investors in Excellence for demonstrating Business Excellence following a recent assessment against the standard. This is a landmark achievement in the company’s 20th year and is seen as further evidence of QLM’s continued growth as a company. The Investors in Excellence Standard is a derivative of the EFQM (European) Excellence Model and is seen as a robust and comprehensive assessment process.
QLM Managing Director, Peter Mills said: “ This is a fabulous achievement for us in our 20th anniversary year. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver exceptional service and this award is an endorsement of those values.” He went on to add: “We hope this sends a strong message to our customers and the industry that we aim to achieve the highest possible standards of service excellence.”
The award was presented at the Midlands Excellence Awards dinner in Birmingham, which is said to be the largest of its type in Europe, with over 1000 guests in attendance. QLM Consultant Wayne Wiggins, who spearheaded QLM’s application for the standard, attended the event and collected the award on the company’s behalf. Wayne said: “We are proud to have met the standard against the Excellence Model framework, which is still regarded as the most comprehensive and challenging Business Excellence framework available.”
QLM now aim to promote the Investors in Excellence standard as a robust Quality Management framework across the leisure industry.
