ISRM CONSULTANTS - NEW SERVICES

QLM were appointed to manage ISRM's Consultancy and Interim Management services, a 3-year contract which commenced on January 2008 and which has now been extended for a further year.

ISRM Consultants is able to undertake assignments both large and small within diverse areas of the sport and leisure management industry and delivers projects both at a strategic and operational level.

QLM Director Jill Franks also assumes the role of ISRM Managing Consultant and identifies the most suitable consultant on a project by project basis. QLM Consultants are exclusively used for health and safety projects, ensuring only fully qualified health and safety consultants are used.

More recently ISRM Consultants have developed a number of distinct services, all aimed at helping organisations meet the challenges posed by the Coalition Government's recent Spending Review and the inevitable financial pressures faced by organisations delivering sport and leisure services, whether in the public, private or community sectors.

Commercial Business Improvement Review
Using consultants with expertise in managing leisure trusts an initial one day business health check is offered to identify the overall financial performance of organisations, identifying options for increasing revenue and reducing expenditure, without impacting on the quality of service. On-going support to assist with implementing the required changes is also available.

Contractor Monitoring Support
Assisting local authority Sport and Leisure Officers to ensure that their contractors are delivering services as required, ISRM Consultants is able to offer a range of specific services forming part of an overall service monitoring framework. Discrete elements may include health and safety auditing, plant and building maintenance audits, mystery visits and operational audits. Packages can be tailored to meet specific local objectives, budgets or to address particular skills gaps.

Options Appraisals
Many local authorities are currently considering how best to deliver their leisure services in the future or whether they can continue to deliver their leisure services in-house. ISRM Consultants is able to offer Options Appraisal and Procurement related consultancy support, with consultants experienced in leisure and cultural options appraisals, with the Consultants supported by legal and financial specialists as required.

Technical Audits and Project Management Services
Particularly aimed at the schools sector within both the private and public sectors where the aim is to prolong the life of swimming pools that may previously have been earmarked for replacement. This service assesses the condition, design and operation of the plant and pool buildings against on current standards and identifies requirements for refurbishment based on a pragmatic approach taking account of space, financial and operational restrictions.

We are also able to project manage the entire project from initial site survey through to developing the specification, tendering processes and project management of the works.


Business Excellence Audit / Support
Providing support to organisations wishing to use of the service excellence models available, ISRM Consultants is able to offer an independent service excellence audit and  / or provide on-going support and training to organisations going through an excellence programme.
